The Puffin Lunda.VIP range is our advanced thermal packaging (or cooling / insulation) solution designed to maintain precise temperature control across specified durations. Perfect and trusted for shipping domestic, cross-border or internationally. It integrates phase change materials (PCM), lighter weight vacuum insulation panels, and modular components to support payloads in the TempChain ensuring consistent temperature performance. Our VIP range is lighter than typical industry competitor products, making logistics of shipping TempChain more cost effective. Available as Single or Multi Use and qualified for over 120 hours, it’s trusted and easy to assemble. Supporting payloads of 9l to 70l and effective across a wide range of temperatures +2 °C to +8 °C, +15 °C to +25 °C or -15 °C to -25 °C.

Conditioning is the step where coolant packs are pre-chilled or frozen to the required temperature needed for cold-chain or temperature-controlled shipping.

Allow the thermal mass to stabilise before loading payload.
Seal / close / lock the system per procedure.
Use a validated temperature logger inside the payload to verify should you wish.

The system is engineered to operate under ambient ranges from –20 °C to +50 °C. Performance curves are determined under standardised test conditions and we recommend to validate and work with the diagram we provide on our Lunda product range.

Yes, Lunda Puffin is typically airline-compatible. However, you must follow airline / regulatory rules for temperature-controlled shipments. Always check with the carrier in advance.
Cleaning, Maintenance & Reuse
Before each reuse on the multi-use solutions; inspect for signs of softening, wrinkling, or loss of rigidity (indicating vacuum loss). Any compromised panel must be replaced.

Troubleshooting & Common Issues
Check coolant blocks (PCMs) were they properly conditioned?
Inspect insulation panels for damage.
Check seals are properly closed.
Ensure there is no direct contact with particularly hot exteriors or overloading.

Possible uneven coolant block placement or asymmetric payload packing. With the Lunda coolants fitting perfectly with bevelled edges this issue should not be experienced.

Dry the inner cavity before sealing, ensure gaskets are clean, and avoid introducing moist items. For long idle periods, store with desiccants or in dry conditions.
